During the days 11 and 12 September 2009 held the X Division encounter, cultural, recreational and environmental "Alcides Jimenez" the municipality of Puerto Caicedo. This event was exposure of livestock products, agriculture and micro enterprise, where the farmer with his effort and the recommendations of Alcides Jimenez focused on sound production, organic, with the purpose of being self-sustainable for families in our region, without neglecting the respect, love for nature and the environment, this sample is held in the park of Puerto Caicedo.
Also in another scene of our town, just in the classroom multiple of School José Antonio Galán primary host and the evening was attended by several soloists and musical groups our department, looking to be the best unreleased song contest free theme, Alcides Jimenez. With the crowd expectant, anxious eyes, visitors, residents, groups and soloists, juries willing to give their ruling, and a sample of dances from the region, is given to begin the evening of the night.
In total there were 9 groups who participated in this great event, municipalities as Mocoa, Villagarzón, Puerto Asis, Guamuez Valley, San Miguel and Puerto Caicedo, the city prepared to host this competition. Orlando Salazar, Harold Chavez, Eduardo López Wilson were responsible for giving the final verdict, a jury ideal, with studies in music experts interpret musical instruments belonging to philharmonic orchestras, university teachers, participants in workshops abroad, Barcelona (Spain) in a few words about teachers with wide recognition and musical journey. The first place was the town of Mocoa with the group say and the song "Blue Sun" authored by Ivan Dario Martinez. Second place
occupied the town of Puerto Asis with the South Andean Group and the song "Footprints" authored by Luis Fernando Diaz
The third place was the town of Puerto Caicedo with soloist Ivan Rene Vallejo and the theme "Children of the Earth" authored by Oliver complexion.
So ended one of the most representative for caicedenses and there is still much to tell, but hopefully next year will be you who is witnessing this activity.
